Something to Chew On

I'm re-posting this quote because I think it is, once again, worth pondering...

"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.  You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.  You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.  You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.  You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.  You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.  You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence.  You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."
- Abraham Lincoln

  3. Great quote! Did I ever mention that my great, great, great grandfather and President Lincoln were good friends and served the people of the United States of America together? I feel a special kinship with him because of that. Be blessed my friend.

    1. Hi Debbie,

What a wonderful family treasure! Most of my ancestors began arriving in these United States a couple decades after Lincoln. Your family is blessed to have such history.

      Blessings,
      Mrs.B
